Where as Westerners see Twitter as a place to exchange messages and share words, Zuosa seems to be thinking of microblogging with a larger multimedia vision- and I believe netizens in China are far more intersted in this kind of sharing.

-An area for the big fish: Zuosa also caters for the most active message senders, celebrating their message frequency by updating the top ten users by post volume on your homepage. This appears to be a potentially moot feature, as the top users are not necessarily useful or interesting to the user concerned. Just as I don’t want to read the tweets of @aplusk, I wouldn’t wan’t the spammy members of Zuosa or Twitter being celebrated on the homepage.

In terms of popularity, Zuosa is still very much a small fry. Because it has not got the association or support of one of the big portals, there is only a small growth rate it can expect, with most new users to Zuosa having had to theoretically avoid or ignore the snare of the microblogging sites sitting at their favourite portals.

When I clicked on that section, and then on the Twitter “t,” I got this message:

The message says:

抱歉，该服务不可用；你可以通过 zuosa->buboo.tw->twitter 实现同步！

Translation:

We’re sorry, this service is not available. You can go through zuosa -> buboo.tw -> twitter to accomplish the sync!

So I set up an account on Buboo.tw (ah, traditional characters!), easily synced that with Twitter, then synced my Zuosa account with Buboo. And hey… it works (1, 2, 3)! A tweet on Zuosa appears on Twitter in seconds. And since I synced my Twitter account to Facebook long ago, Facebook is actually at the end of the tweetchain: Zuosa -> Buboo.tw -> Twitter -> Facebook.

I haven’t tested SMS tweeting yet. One of the disadvantages of this method is that you can’t not post “downstream.” So for now, I can’t post only to Zuosa without posting to the other three, or post to Buboo without posting to Twitter and Facebook, unless I turn off the sync.

Anyway, I thought this was pretty cool… all made possible through international open APIs.

Zuosa was created from Twitter way, as everyone know, everything in China, will be changed, just like QQ is not ICQ, Baidu is not Google, Zuosa is not Twitter too.

First, Twitter did not support multimedia, but Zuosa did. You can upload images on Zuosa, now, Zuosa API and Zuosa WEB begin to support the multimedia format like “{provider}MediaID{/provider}” , after you submited the message, will transfer to the Standard Format of the Zuosa API multimedia:
